Spring is here, the flowers are out - fresh local produce is all about!
Although many winter favourites are still around, the lengthening days and the anticipation of the new season's produce is guaranteed to put ‘a spring in our step’. It's time to celebrate the best of all the locally grown new season vegetables. Spring in North Yorkshire is the best time of year for asparagus, and after what seems like an endless wait the asparagus season officially arrives on 1st May, lasting a short, sweet six weeks. Something to salute spring’s gradual slide into summer.
